Summer Writing Camps

This summer have your students join in for some summer writing fun! This is for your ambitious writers and your reluctant writers. Sometimes children have nothing to write yet sometimes they have so much to write that they don't know where to start.  This camp will assist your child in the area of invention (thinking up great ideas) and elocution (how to put these great ideas into colorful stories).  

 

Writing Camp is the perfect mix of creativity, academics, and time with friends! Whether your child loves writing or just loves being with other kids, this camp is a great way to try something new in a relaxed, workshop-style setting. Through group discussions, idea-sharing, and hands-on activities, campers will discover that writing is about creativity—not perfection. With plenty of chances to bounce ideas around, experiment with storytelling, and just have fun, this camp takes the pressure off and brings the joy back to writing!

Campers will dive into creative writing, using wordless books to craft their own stories. They'll also enjoy a themed art project, adding a visual element to their work. On the final day, campers will build confidence with oral presentations during a teatime celebration—don’t worry, the boys will love it too!

• Quality instruction by a credentialed teacher

• Participant size will be small, 4-10 students, to allow for more individualized attention

• Materials included- Notebook, Wordless Book (chosen based on group dynamic)

• No Homework
